Established since 1787, the New Inn offered stabling for 24 horses, accommodation and refreshments. Ten coaches a day stopped here in winter and summer alike.e offer delicious home-cooked food on our pub dining and bar snack menus.  Open every evening, food is served from 5pm until 9.30pm during the week.  On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we serve food from midday until 9.30pm (8pm on Sundays).

WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS PIE NIGHT
Delicious home-made pies available from 5pm until 9.30pm
Choose from meat & potato, chicken & mushroom, Whitby ocean pie, lentil "shepherd's" pie or spicy lamb lattice pie, all served with mushy peas and fat chips.  Starters, puds and coffees also available.
