 elcome to the
New Inn in Marsden, serving a range of traditional cask ales and good
British food. We serve food every evening, and throughout the day from
12 noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Families are especially welcome at the weekends with a special 'little
persons' menu and high chairs available.
arsden became famous for its growing textile trade, resulting in the development of dwelling houses for the workers and the social scene of public houses. Established since 1787, the New Inn offered stabling for 24 horses, accommodation and refreshments. Ten coaches a day stopped here in winter and summer alike. Today people arrive by a different form of horse-power but they will always be greeted with a warm welcome from manager Kate and her team.
There are roaring fires in the winter months and al fresco dining from
late spring until early autumn. Families, walkers, cyclists and
dogs are always very welcome.

New Inn is a focal point in the village at weekends, open from
midday through to midnight. Sit and relax in the lounge and bar
areas with a pint of traditional cask ale, a large frothy cappuccino
freshly ground to order or something a bit stronger if you prefer.
Papers and magazines are available for you to enjoy every day.
During the week the pub is open from 5pm until 11pm (midnight on
Friday). Wednesday night is
quiz night and 'Pie Night' at the New Inn
or why not join us on the last Sunday of each month for our jazz &
blues evenings?
