New Inn in Marsden, serving a range of traditional cask ales and good
British food. We are open for drinks every evening and serve food from Wednesday until Sunday, including Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.
Families are especially welcome at the weekends with a special 'little
persons' menu and high chairs available. ake a gentle stroll through the Pennine village of Marsden, enjoying all it has to offer including a busy working canal and magnificent views. Why not combine the beautiful Yorkshire countryside with traditional ales, hearty meals and great company?
arsden became famous for its growing textile trade, resulting in the development of dwelling houses for the workers and the social scene of public houses. Established since 1787, the New Inn offered stabling for 24 horses, accommodation and refreshments. Ten coaches a day stopped here in winter and summer alike. Today people arrive by a different form of horse-power but they will always be greeted with a warm welcome from manager Kate and her team.
There are roaring fires in the winter months and al fresco dining from
late spring until early autumn. Families, walkers, cyclists and
dogs are always very welcome.

New Inn will be a focal point in the village at weekends, open from
midday through to midnight. Sit and relax in the lounge and bar
areas with a pint of traditional cask ale, a large frothy cappuccino
freshly ground to order or something a bit stronger if you prefer.
Papers and magazines are available for you to enjoy every day.
During the week the pub is open from 5pm until 11pm (midnight on
Friday). Open for drinks only on Monday and Tuesday, from
Wednesday onwards full menus are on offer from 6pm until 9.30pm.
Special discounts are available for early bird diners on Wednesday and
Thursday evenings. Wednesday night is 'Pie Night' at the New Inn
